The future is here

Comment Policy

Dear You,

We welcome you and your feedback. To provide a healthy environment for your discussion, we moderate all comments and hold them to a high standard.

Below are simple guidelines which we expect all participants in the community areas of the April Magazine website to abide by, all of which directly inform our approach to community moderation.

1. Personal attacks (on authors or other users), persistent trolling and mindless abuse will not be tolerated. And don’t use swear words (you know what we mean).

2. We understand that people often feel strongly about issues debated on the site, but we will consider removing any content that others might find extremely offensive or threatening.

3. We will remove any content that may put us in legal jeopardy, such as potentially libelous or defamatory postings, or material posted in potential breach of copyright.

4. We will remove any posts that are obviously commercial or otherwise spam-like.

In general, we post-moderate community interaction, which keeps the conversation lively. This unfortunately means we can’t guarantee all comments live on the site or our social media are appropriate or in the spirit of the community standards.

While the April Magazine website staff try to keep an eye on all community activity, we do also rely on our users to report abusive, offensive or otherwise inappropriate comments when they appear.

In the end, we reserve the right to take steps or implement measures which we hope will benefit all April Magazine community participants.

To sum up,

if you post comments in line with our guidelines, that’ll be the end of it. We will not look for you, we will not pursue you. But if you don’t follow our guidelines, we will look for your comments, we will find your comments, and we will delete your comments.

Love,

April Magazine
